I watched the All Star game last week and was amazed by the admiration of so many to Derek Jeter.  It started with the commercial with people tipping their hats to Derek to the player who replaced him in the game to watching every single person in the American League dugout embracing him.  This is in addition to the multitude of ceremonies given to him in every stadium he visits.

Why?  Because he is the epitome of hard work, good sportsmanship, and a successful player not jaded by his talents.  He is a player whose shirt I am proud to have my children wear.
